Here at Chants Vets we are able to offer a high standard of medical care for your
pets. We have in-house facilities for diagnostic testing such as laboratory blood
and urine testing, ultrasonography, Xrays including digital dental radiography, and
blood pressure monitoring. Most tests can be done in a single day however some laboratory
tests such as cultures may take a little longer.
We are happy to spend time discussing your pets medical needs and to explain different
treatment options available. In particular, ongoing conditions such as heart disease
or arthritis may require complex treatment protocols and our aim is to find the best
solution for you and your pet.
Most conditions can be managed here at the practice but sometimes it may be best
to refer to a specialist - for instance, eye conditions and neurological conditions
can require specialist equipment and expertise, and many cancers can now be managed
by a combination of treatments. We want what is best for your pet, and will discuss
referral to a specialist facility if appropriate.
In addition, we can also offer expert behaviour counselling and advice if your cat
or dog needs help. Behaviour problems are common and cause stress and heartache for
the family. Each situation is different so we set aside time to fully explore the
problem and come up with realistic, practical solutions.
If you have any questions about any aspect of your pet’s care, we are always more
than happy to help.
